Maple Hill Residence Halls I & II were developed to create a new housing environment for the students. These units were conceived as a viable alternative to private housing options just off campus and provide a myriad of amenities which had not been typically available to on campus living facilities. Phase II also includes a commercial component with shops and a restaurant on the first floor.

Maple Hill I is organized around a central courtyard. This courtyard was conceived as a mulit-use space which could facilitate informal recreation, outdoor dining and a large gatherings.

The space between Maple Hill I & II is a portion of a major, future east west corridor through this portion of campus. It also contains a smaller outdoor courtyard space with a more formal lawn area. The design is intentionally rectilinear and responds to the layout of the architecture.
