I-430 Shackleford Interchange Little Rock

  • DCI Scope Of Work:
    • Survey
    • Civil Engineering
    • Landscape Architecture

The project consisted of developing new off ramp configurations, widening the bridge structure, new signalization at each end of the bridge, and redeveloping a two lane rural roadway to a four lane divided median city street. The roadway work provided the necessary improvements for a one hundred plus acre private development.

DCI worked with the private developer, City of Little Rock, local utility companies, and Arkansas Highway and Transportation Department to expand capacity in conjunction with a private development. This project was phased so that the bridge widening and roadway expansion never closed to traffic. The bridge was widened from two lanes to five lanes with signals added at both ends for the on and off ramp movements. The roadway was completed regarded and upgraded from a two lane open ditch section to four lanes with a landscaped median, curb and gutters and drainage system. The roadway had cuts/fills in excess of thirty feet.
